Model, accuracy, and reuse

The maps are calculated in your browser from Astronomy Engine Sun/Moon vectors and a projection-neutral, Earth-fixed WGS 84 shadow-cone solver.

The downloadable GeoJSON retains the complete track. Only the Web Mercator planning view is clipped at its projection limit.

Results are centre-of-figure and planning-grade. Lunar terrain can move the observed limit by kilometres.
